What was the record label most grunge bands started off in?

The record label that was the most popular was a seattle based label called.... Subpop.
Started in the late 80s or early 90s this now infamous record label was one of the first if not the first to support grunge. Without Subpop grunge might not have happened. It started such bands as Nirvana, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, and many other seattle based bands. Abotu 20 people work at subpop now and they are doing very well. They now host bands like The Postal Service, My favorite comedian David Cross, and Hot Hot Heat.

Remember to use the Citation Machine to make your MLA-format citations at the end of the entry. You can't cite just with the web address. Also, if you are paraphrasing, you should cite at the end of the sentence that includes info you got from somewhere else like this: ........grunge (Subpop). If you use more than 3 words in a row that come from a source, you must use quotes.
